At 293 pages, the two management consultants of the BPM & O describe in detail how process management is a holistic methodology can be established in an enterprise. Process management to understand the authors as a holistic management method. The book is not described as a single process is optimized. A few days ago I worked with Bonita and created a small sample process. Here I would now like to describe my impressions. A free version of the BPM Suite can be downloaded at www.bonitasoft.com.

The product allows for a quick demo install on a Windows machine. Included in the installation are:

• Bonita Studio - client tool for modeling of processes and forms
• User Experience - Web GUI for the Process Engine
• Admin Console - Web GUI and instances for the administration of the process classes

But unfortunately all too often made to standardize a straitjacket. And with this straitjacket even simple activities an almost impossible task. Unnecessary and inflated forms, multiple release levels, through regional consolidation and monitoring delusions often lead to restrictions in the working lives of employees. What are the consequences? ... Creativity! But do not want to see the creativity of a company. The employees to be creative to bypass the laborious and expensive process standards attached. Even if the order is for a pencil of state, the employees have no other choice. Therefore, it is important to listen and put on a lively process management. I think it is getting time for an update on free "tools for BPMN modeling." A lot has happened since my last article in this lot in November 2009.

I have finally found some time to do a little test with Activiti perform. Here I must confess right away that I am not a developer, and therefore destined for the one step or another need a little longer. But I hope I make it to build a small example of the process, mainly because I still hope some of the modeling of the Signavio and Ecplise. In jBPM I have ever accomplished this process to its own little "fly" to bring. Sometime during deployment was mostly concluded. (more ...)
