Update from BizAgi Process Modeller

Since 12/23/2009 is an update of the free BizAgi Process Modeler available. With the update, some interesting new features have been integrated:

  • Wiki export
With the BizAig Process Modeller can now be exported directly to processes created a media wiki. Here, both the process models, as well as the descriptions are generated Wiki-tags and an article.
  • Web Export
Also new is the Web Export
This is a fancy generated HTML page. There you can then interactively navigate through the process model and retrieve the relevant information about the individual activities.
  • Export SharePoint
The process models can be just as well to the wiki on a SharePoint server are stored.
  • Presentation Mode
The process model is displayed in full screen mode. Individual activities will receive a Mous-over effect to be able to highlight these. In addition, events can be defined that are triggered when you click on an activity in presentation mode.

This causes the BizAgi modeler for me is still a little more interesting. Even the existing export opportunities (Word, PDF, Visio, XPDL, etc) are very extensive.

A small drawback is still that you can work with very complex models with only one file. I also find it off and hooked in the shaping of the edges. Thus only 4 gateway "interchanges" and "black box" lanes are also very few points on which allows a message flow can be docked. But for the representation of individual processes (eg a department or for a presentation), the tool is well suited. Supports BPMN 1.2.
