Free BPMN modeling tools 2011

I think it is getting time for an update on free "tools for BPMN modeling." A lot has happened since my last article in this lot in November 2009.

New Study BPM Suites 2010

The Fraunhofer Institute has published a new study on current BPM tools. It analyzes how the various tools support the modeling of processes in BPMN and then they can bring to execution.

We examined eight different products:

  • Cordys BOP
  • ActiveVOS (Dr. Karb GmbH)
  • Intalio | BPMS Works
  • inubit BPM Suite
  • itp Commerce Process Modeler
  • MID Innovator
  • Software AG webMethods
  • Soreco Xpert.ivy

The study is for 120 € at the Fraunhofer Institute in http://www.dm.iao.fraunhofer.de/lit/studien/markt/bpm2010_inhalt.jsp available.

Update of BizAgi Process Modeller

Since 23.12.2009 an update of the free is BizAgi Process Modeler available. With the update, some interesting new features have been incorporated: (more ...)

Currently I am always free BPMN tool at times. Sometimes, because I happened to stumble over it and I'm curious and sometimes because I am back on my current tools times worse. So I'm on the eternal search for the perfect tool for me. Had recently spent nearly € 100 for joy with a tool, just because I thought it's the best tool ... but unfortunately it was not.

Therefore I would like to list a few BPM tools that can maybe help one or the other.
