New Study BPM Suites 2010

The Fraunhofer Institute has published a new study on current BPM tools. It analyzes how the various tools support the modeling of processes in BPMN and then they can bring to execution.

We examined eight different products:

  • Cordys BOP
  • ActiveVOS (Dr. Karb GmbH)
  • Intalio | BPMS Works
  • inubit BPM Suite
  • itp Commerce Process Modeler
  • MID Innovator
  • Software AG webMethods
  • Soreco Xpert.ivy

The study is for 120 € at the Fraunhofer Institute in http://www.dm.iao.fraunhofer.de/lit/studien/markt/bpm2010_inhalt.jsp available.

Opportunities and risks of zero-coding BPM

There are now some good BPM suites systems and processes allow it to fully implement without programming. In some tools, and other models is more likely configured. By the steady spread of recognized standards (web services, BPEL and BPMN over) also have the software maker an increasingly broad base on which their tools can be built.

But where are the opportunities and risks existing in the market zero-coding solutions? (more ...)

Intalio joins the "Finalization Task Force" for BPMN 2.0 in

Intalio announced yesterday that you now participate as a member of the OMG Finalization Task Force on the adoption of the upcoming BPMN 2.0 specification. ( Source )

How will then after the adoption of the spec. Intalio BPMS that develop?

So far, Intalio BPMN and BPEL uses for the modeling of the process design ( here ). Ismael Gahlimi had this been a clear position with BPMN alone can no processes are running. It lacks the technical information in the process model. ( Why BPEL Matters ). That is also correct. But this clear commitment to BPMN 2.0, and thus next opportunity BPMN process models directly execute in a BPMN process engine that could lead to Intalio disregards the future of the problematic transformation from BPMN to BPEL and the pure BPMN BPM system further developed. I'm curious ...

Intalio | BPMS Works - Overview

Intalio BPM suite provides enhanced Intalio | BPMS Works provides a complete solution for the implementation of runnable processes. Intalio is already on the market for several years and has attained a certain maturity. In this article I give a brief overview of the system.

IDM and BPM - a winning team!

This article is primarily concerned with executable processes in a BPM system (BPMS), which requires a certain amount of human interaction, such as the traditional holiday request or invoice approval. In such processes must always found the right editor for the next step. Different rules for this can be defined. For example, the BPMS needs a supervisor of an employee who just applied for a vacation. Or something more complex: It is looking for a person receiving a bill is allowed to release more than 50,000 € in the line organization and the supervisor of the buyer's who purchased the products for which the invoice is received.
