Opportunities and risks of zero-coding BPM

There are now some good BPM suites systems and processes allow it to fully implement without programming. In some tools will be modeled more and more in other configuration. Due to the continuous distribution of recognized standards (web services, BPEL and BPMN over) have the software maker a wider basis on which their tools can be built.

Open Text BPM Server

The first BPM suite, which I would like to introduce a system that I've worked for several years: the Open Text BPM Server . This suite has been created in ancient times PowerWorks. Power Works in 2003 was acquired by IXOS (IXOS eCONprocess). IXOS has been swallowed in 2004 by Open Text. Open Text is maybe some more in the field of ECM and electronic archiving known. The portfolio also contains multiple BPM products .

The BPM Server is designed for "human-intensive processes", ie for processes with a high proportion of human interaction. The system consists of 3 components:

  • BPM Designer
  • BPM Server
  • BPM Administrator
